About field: journal

field  journal is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal based at the School of Architecture and Landscape, University of Sheffield. 

field  invites a wide range of interdisciplinary research, writing and creative practice on architecture, landscape, and urban design intersecting the arts, humanities and social sciences.

field  is not prescriptive about methodologies, knowledge production or ways of imagining the field and is interested in questioning relations and assertions of power. The field is not somewhere ‘out there’ waiting to be discovered but open to the flow of new ideas and practices.

Each issue of field  publishes at least five peer-reviewed articles alongside or combined with creative, provocative or visual submissions.

field  is indexed with the Directory of Open Access Journals. A printed copy of the journal is deposited at the British Library.
